A Little Bit of This...

How is everyone's week going? My days are so mixed up after the Easter holidays. On that note, I thought I'd start a new post series: A Little Bit of This...(otherwise known as Brain Dump, Stream of Consciousness, ADHD Exposed, Random Bits, etc.). Ha! It'll contain a little bit of everything, and I've already had a lot of fun putting this one together. So, without further adieu...

My little ham, Hadley. Is this not the cutest outfit you've ever seen? Details below. And how skinny are her little legs? As my parents used to tell me, "We've got to put some meat on those bones." :)

I'm always on the hunt for new TV shows, especially ones that Rob and I can watch together. Any recs? I watch ALL the Bravo shows, and Rob likes The History Channel. Where can we find some common ground? I did recently finish up "Big Little Lies," and how good was it?! I'd read the book, and I loved it as well. And the music from the show...I caught myself frantically Googling almost every song that I didn't recognize. And I found a new favorite: Leon Bridges. If you haven't heard of him, download the song "River" immediately. So.freaking.good.

I've been a big fan of Jen Hatmaker's for years. I'm sure most of you have heard of her, but she's a Christian author, and I feel like a lot of mothers can relate to her. She's hilarious, but she also shares so much wisdom and depth in her writing. Back in the fall (I think it was), she spoke out in support of gay marriage and took a lot of flack from some in the Christian community. LifeWay stopped selling her books; she was abandoned by some "friends." It really tore me up, both for her and for Christians as a whole...and for people who now had even more reason to say, "Why would I want to be a part of that?" Anyway, it was obvious that all of this truly shattered her, and she recently addressed it beautifully in this blog post: My Saddest Good Friday in Memory. It resonated with me in so many ways.

Speaking of quirky Christians, I was so stoked that my favorite author ever recently released a new book. Anne Lamott's books have really grown my faith, and I'm loving her newest book so far.

I'm loving this dress from Old Navy. And it comes in tall, which makes me feel like I need to snag it stat.

I've mentioned before, but I'm a self-admitted candle snob. Target has some of my favorites that don't break the bank and still smell fresh and have a long-lasting scent. Which brings me to my newest candle obsession. Y'all...get this candle. If you're a fan of the Nest line, this scent is nearly identical to Blue Garden. The Nest version will set you back $40. The Target version is $12.99. You're welcome!

And since we're singing the praises of Target (always. duh.), their Awesome Shop recently shared one of my Instagram photos. What fun! These sandals really are the best, though. You should get some. And they also come in black and white.

So, that's my brain dump for today. I'll leave you with this quote. Hope everyone has a happy Thursday!
